Concert of Maksim Mrvica(Academy International diplomat to Paris) ![]() The young Croatian pianist, who distinguished himself last year while winning the 11th of competition of international young pianists, gives this year, to Paris, a free concert with the support of the Croatian embassy in France and the permanent Delegation of the Croatia with the UNESCO. The program includes Haydn, Chopin, Kempf and Brahms. Maksim Mrvica, a pianist, born in 1975 in Šibenik, on the coast Dalmatian, was nine years old when he performed himself for the first time in public. He received his education in Zagreb (music Academy) in the class of Vladimir Krpan, to Budapest (Conservatoire Ferenc Liszt) and to Paris (Conservatoire Alexandre Skrjabin). It followed his perfection in many seminars, working with famous pianists world-wide. Currently, he is studying in the class of the professor Lazko in the national school of Paris. Simultaneously, he gave many concerts in Croatia, notably as a soloist with the symphony orchestra of the Croatian radio television, but equally to Salzbourg, Comes, Geneva, Budapest, Saint Petersburg or Paris, where he participates in 1999 to the Festival of the art Slav. He was a winner in 1993 of the National Competition of the young Croatian musicians, a win in 1999, the Grand Prix to Paris of the international competition Nicolai Rubinstein, and imposes in 2001 to the 11th competition international of the young pianists where he wins the Grand Prix to the international Competition of Pontoise. He received several prices for the quality of his work, notably the Price of the Superintendent of the university to Zagreb in 1997, as well as the Price Rotary coming in 1998. Among its professors one counts names as distinguished as Igor Lazko, Semion Balshem, Sergeï Senkov, Nina Kazimirova, Edit picht-axenfeld, Laszlo Baranyay or again Christine Parashos. Several of these compositions met an international success were interpreted in of prestigious rooms, notably in Germany, Austria, Canada, United States, France, Italy, Swiss, United Kingdom or again to Japan.
